Pioneer Valley Baptist Church offers many different ministries in which people can be helped and encouraged. We have something to offer every member of your family- children, teens and adults. Take a look at the specfiic ministries listed below to find out more.
Pioneer Valley Baptist Church has thriving children’s ministries starting as early as newborns. Mothers will be delighted to see our loving, newly remodeled nursery. Childcare is provided for all services, and many of our workers are mothers themselves.
Our Sunday School classes, divided into age-appropriate groups from 4 year old to adults, strive to enrich the spiritual lives of all in attendance while growing our knowledge of the Bible. Our church currently offers five classes for different ages during the Sunday School hour, with more to come shortly. Stop in at 9:30am Sunday Mornings to further your walk with God!
During our 10:30am morning service, all elementary-aged children will be invited to attend either Beginners Church (4 years old through second graders) or Junior Church (third grade through sixth grade) where they will be taught the Word of God, play fun games, participate in exciting crafts, sing spiritual songs and memorize Bible verses. Every week features a new promotion to get the kids excited to come to church!
On Wednesday nights at 7pm during our regular Wednesday service, we have a children’s program called King’s Kids for ages four through the sixth grade. The primary focus of this program is spiritual development, Bible knowledge growth, and memorization of Scripture through Bible lessons and memory time. Kids will also have fun singing songs, playing games, winning prizes and presenting a rehearsed song once a month during our Wednesday evening service.
Teen years can be a challenging time for both parents and children, but Pioneer Valley Baptist Church strives to spiritually equip its families with the biblical truth necessary to live like a Christian in the 21st century. The youth group meets during the Sunday School hour at 9:30am. Teens will hear practical Bible messages, have fun playing
games and singing songs and have the opportunity to develop godly friendships to last a lifetime. We also sponsor monthly teen activities that are always fun and feature a safe environment. Take a look at our calendar to see when the next activity is!
The Bible tells us that God has entrusted Christians with the duty of telling others of the Gospel. Soul-winning is the life blood of the New Testament church! Therefore, our church has many scheduled times where we reach out to those without Christ:
• Wednesday Morning Men’s Springfield Street Witnessing at 10am
• Tuesday Night Soul-Winning & Visitation at 6:30pm
• Saturday Morning Soul-Winning & Bus Visitation at 10am
• Seasonal outreach, such as Christmas caroling & Thanksgiving meal delivery
Pastor Montoro & Bro. Jake also go out soul-winning throughout the week, so if you can’t make one of our schedule times, feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to partner with you in fulfilling the Great Commission!
Reformers Unanimous (RU) is a ministry of our church that reaches out to those struggling with addictions. Bro. Glen Grimm is a church member who runs this program every Friday night from 7-8:30pm. During this time, we go over the Scriptural principles found in the program on how to properly identify and deal with addictions in our lives. RU is a national program with an astounding success rate, founded entirely on the Word of God. This faith-based program ministers to both those with addictions and those just looking for an additional Bible Study.
We like our church to feel like a big family and we enjoy spending time together, which is why our church has regular times we can get together to fellowship with one another.
Sunday nights at Pioneer Valley Baptist Church is called ‘Faith & Fellowship’ where we have our evening service at 6pm and a time of fellowship at 7pm immediately to follow. Here we encourage families to bring a main dish and a side or dessert and we gather it together to have dinner in our fellowship hall. You’ll also find our calendar filled with fellowship events such as teen & young couple activities, senior saint lunches and dinners, and church-wide get-togethers. Church should be enjoyed, not endured!
Our church strives to produce Christians who are spiritually growing and learning to live a practical, day-to-day Christianity. That’s why we equip ourselves with truths from the Word of God that draw us closer to Christ in every situation. This is accomplished not only through our regular services, but through various programs throughout the week as well.
We have many opportunities for Christians to get connected to one another and the Word of God:
• Men’s Bible Study every first & third Tuesday of the month at 7pm
• Women’s Bible Study every second Tuesday & Thursday of the month, at 6:30pm & 10am respectively.
• Occasional topical Bible studies, such as our current Bible Study on Grief. See our calendar for more information
• Discipleship every Sunday night from 5:30pm-5:50pm. We also offer one-on-one and couple’s discipleship by appointment
• Family & Marital counseling by appointment
We hope that you’ll attend one or many of these opportunities in order to see even more spiritual growth in your Christian life!
